Learning about Light Energy!

This week, we are learning about different forms of Energy. Today we did experiments with Light Energy. We used flashlights and folder tents to try out different things. We used objects to cast shadows and we also used colorful squares to change the color of the light. It was a lot of fun!! It was a good cloudy afternoon, so our room was dark!!

Tomorrow we'll do another experiment with Heat Energy!

Fun with counting and reading!

We're getting really good at skip counting!! We had a lot of fun last week making a big chart for each type and then working on these apple pages.

We also are great at identifying the differences between Fiction and Non Fiction. We made this chart last week and now it's hanging outside of our classroom!

Non Fiction has "tru" facts and "fotos" as illustrations!  Fiction books are "not reel" and "they r fun" !!

Things are going great in first grade!!!
